Default Toggle Enemies Off -- Mk. II "Explore Mode"

THE IDEA:

Add a third button next to the Hard Mode button called "Explore Mode".

EFFECTS:

--All enemies and chests are removed from the map.
--NPCs stay, but will not recognize or give out quests.
--Trade NPCs (such as collectors, merchants, armor crafters, etc...) have their sell/buy/craft/exchange buttons greyed out.
--ALL PORTALS TO TOWNS LOCK. You must map travel out to exit the mode. Portals to other Explorable Areas are unaffected.
--Cartographer Title is locked and will not update while this mode is active.

PURPOSE:

Screenshots, RolePlay, Exploring.

REQUIREMENTS:

Complete that respective campaign on normal mode. Or maybe Hard Mode?

I don't think those purposes justify this idea.

The problem is, making your way around the game world isn't supposed to be hazard-free.

I think a better option would be to be able to explore an area, like you described, but only after vanquishing it; you've proven yourself able to wipe out all hostile life in a zone, so you should be able to visit it un-harassed.

this would piss any cartographer off, i bet most of em had to run/fight mobs so they can get that last peice of the puzzle

Most corpses vanish after you kill monsters, and you can lure bosses far from the spot you want to capture.

Only the Roleplay purpose deserves the thing, but it's not strong enough...

Maybe for GW2.

Read OP's post, mate. They said cartography would be locked and unachievable in this mode.

Regardless, /not signed. Doesn't seem like it has a large enough purpose.

I wouldn't mind having this. There are a lot of really beautiful places in GW that are hard to get to because of the enemies, so you really don't get to enjoy your surroundings. It would be nice to be able to just wander about and see it all, especially since GW is entering its twilight years.

Even if all they did was render all the enemies to tutorial area levels it would be good.

Really don't see a point to this. If you need an area clear, go there in nm and kill the stuff in it.

No point, and it would be really hard to code to "lock the cartographer down, while still letting people explore."

Pointless and way too time-consuming considering what little it would do.

Does that mean if you enable this thing once you can't get the cartographer title?
